Friday Favorites {Snow Days}

My post title is more wishful thinking than reality because while we have had lots of snow I have been trudging through it. Adult life blows. I'm sure jealous of everyone who has got to have real snow days though! I sincerely hope we don't get all the wrath of snow storm Jonas like predicted.

Favorite Read
I've reactivated my library card and burning through it! I just finished The Distant Hours and I powered through the 500+ pages in about 3 days. Kate Morton is quickly becoming one of my favorites. What are you reading?

Favorite Recipe
Winter is prime soup season and it's all I've been craving lately. I made this lightened up potato soup over the weekend and it was so good! O'Charley's potato soup is top notch in my opinion and this rivaled it (with less calories/fat).

Favorite Purchase
For Christmas my coworker got me the coolest gift from Sephora--Liquid Luxuries Samplers. Basically, you get a sample size of their 14 luxury scents and then a scent certificate to get a full size of whichever one you like the best. I chose the Tory Burch spray because of it's light scent and the cute bottle :) Such a good gift!

Favorite Looks
I've been drooling over the new Kate Spade Kitchen collection all week! Maybe I'll create a day.

  2. I want one of everything from the Kate Spade kitchen collection and I don't even have my own kitchen yet! haha

As soon as I'm done the Whole30 I'm making that soup - between the -30 weather and the tons of snow we've been getting a bowl of soup would be perfect for warming up!

  3. Ooo I've never heard of Kate Morton! I'm always looking for new authors so I will check her out!! I love potato soup! I have to make it more often! Love the doggie meme! =)

  7. Oh how I love soup, especially this time of year! And love love love TB's perfume, isn't the bottle gorgeous?! LOL at the snow meme, I will never understand why the bread and milk get cleaned out at the grocery store for a storm that'll keep you cooped up for a day maybe two at most. Happy Friday gurlie <3

  8. I'm sorry you didn't get a snow day! Even my husband who never gets a day off for weather got to stay home today! That soup looks amazing - OCharley's potato soup is the standard against which I judge all other potato soups, so it must be pretty good!

Hope you have a great weekend!

  9. People have been grocery shopping like crazy stocking up for the snow and I went and spent $14, haha!

  10. I haven't seen the KS kitchen items but they are adorable!!! Especially digging the mixing bowls and glasses! We've been all about the library and I forgot how nice it was to always have a book on hand for reading. Hope you're all cozy this weekend!!

  11. Soup sounds yummy! I may try it today.

  12. I am SO that person that feels like I have to go to the store just to buy something when a storm is coming. HA. Glad I found your blog today - I'm excited to be following along now!

  13. Kate Morton is my favorite author! You have to read the Secret Keeper. It's the best. I wasn't a huge fan of her last one, though.
