In the Works...Work Week Chic

Hi friends! I'm excited to tell you about something I have brewing. Through this blog I've really been trying to develop my niche. I believe there truly is space for us all here in this blog-o-sphere but with some fine tuning and soul searching you can really stand out.  Am I an SEO expert? No. Can I pump out awesome crafts? Not consistently. BUT...I think I do have a unique perspective and knack for spicing up a work wardrobe.

If you've been following me on Instagram you know that I've been trying to post daily work outfit inspiration. The 9-5 can leave us all in a rut but that doesn't mean you have to succumb to a life of boring outfits!

Starting next week I'll be featuring a weekly "Work Week Chic" series where I will be talking all things office fashion. You all know I love a good deal so it will be relatable/affordable ideas. I'm lucky enough to have teamed up with a local photographer, Andrea Hurley Photography, to bring you some great looks (check her out if you're in KY area).

I'd love to hear what you all would like to see from this series--just comment with any ideas you may have!  Also--do you post your work looks? Use the hashtag #myofficechic and I'll be featuring some of your lovely outfits.

Cheers to the new and exciting!

  6. Yay! I'm excited for this! I especially love the stripe and pop of color for today's photo. Sometimes I wish I worked in a more professional setting so that I got wear chic work clothes - but then again, wearing whatever I want is nice too. Luckily I'll get to live vicariously through your classy business attire now. Can't wait!

  21. Looking forward to this. Most days I go off of what I'm feeling - cold & unmotivated calls for comfy pants & a top with flats - motivated and refreshed equals a dress and heels. Most days the pants and flats win!

  22. Great idea! One thing I miss the most about working is dressing up everyday I always said I wouldn't but it's so fun to pick out outfits and try new things!

  23. Yes yes yes! A million times yes. I need some ideas for key pieces and that I can mix and match. Work in a financial institution and I'm definitely in a rut. Mostly on a very strict budget so I only buy pieces that I can use with multiple outfit combinations. Can't wait for this series to start!
