Five on Friday

It's been quite the rainy week here in the South East and I've got my fingers crossed for some sunshine this weekend! Our long days of summer are going to be over before we know it so I'm going to soak it all up.

1. Yeti
Speaking of hot summer days--have you heard of the YETI Rambler Tumbler? I am quite the connoisseur of insulated cups and this one truly impressed me. I poured an iced coffee before I left for work and by lunch the ice had still not melted! Besides keeping your drink ice cold it keeps it from getting all watered down. Admittedly, it's a bit pricy for a cup at around $30 but if you are a big insulated cup user it's a must for your collection.

2. Fall Fashion
Yes, I realize I was just talking about soaking in every last drop of summer. But I also can't keep my eyes off looking at upcoming fall clothes and shoes. There's just something about flannel, boots, and sweaters that it make it my favorite season to dress up. Keep up with all my fall fashion picks on my Falling for Fall Board. Anyone else lusting over open toed booties??

3. Couch to 5k
Running is something that I have majorly let fall by the wayside over the oh...last 8 years since I ran cross country in high school. It's always been something that I dread and loathe doing but about half way through when I get in the groove actually enjoy. My cousin, sister, and I have signed up for a 5k at the end of the month in memory of my aunt who died of pancreatic cancer a few years ago. To get in shape I have being using the Couch to 5k App. It's so nifty because it gives you the plan for each day and even has a timer so you know when to switch from walking to running. For the past few days my routine has been alternating running for 60 seconds and walking for 90 for 25 minutes. The interface is also very user friendly.

4. The Peddler
A week or so ago I saw The Ruthless Crafter post a photo of an exercise peddler and immediately knew I had to have it. I knew it would be a great way to get more exercise during the day and stay healthy at the office. I posted this video on my Instagram the other day of me peddling away at my desk and it was a hit!

5. Apple Watch
Can someone please convince me I don't need an Apple watch? Or, alternatively convince me that I REALLY do. Because I'm on the fence. I was in court yesterday and spotted them all over other attorneys wrists and I have not been able to stop researching and thinking about one! I have my eyes set on these two.

Help me friends! Do you or someone you know absolutely LOVE or HATE theirs?? Tell me all you know!

  1. I've heard great reviews of those Yeti cups & think I'll be purchasing a few of those for Christmas gifts! I love that you got an exercise peddler for under your desk. I've always joked about getting one but I seriously think they're great! I'm all for any extra exercise I can get during the work day!

  2. I can't wait for Fall myself! My husband got me a Yeti Tumbler for Christmas and I didn't think I was going to like it until I finally tried it. I keep mine at work and every morning when I come it, there is still ice in it from the day before!

  4. Apple watches are popping up everywhere, and everyone I know who has one LOVES it! However, I can't imagine forking over that kind of money for something I essentially already have with my ipad mini and my iphone6 :-P

  6. Omg I am so intrigued by those exercise peddlers! My entire job is tragically sedentary, so it seems perfect, although my co-workers might think I've lost it, haha! :)

  8. I so need that peddler for under my desk at work! Those Apple watch wristbands are super pretty. One negative that I heard from a friend who has the Apple watch is that it's super distracting buzzing on your wrist for every text and notification whereas you can put your phone away when you need to focus on something.

  9. I thought I didn't want an Apple watch and then I saw their recent commercial with the two women traveling in Asia and I was hooked again.

  11. I don't have an Apple Watch but I love the second pic! I watch lots of people on YouTube who loves their Apple watches. I'd personally rather save up for a Mac computer. I'm still on PC, but my iPhone has made me want all things Apple. Treat yourself, Christmas is coming!

  14. I may have to invest in one of those Yeti Cups. That's amazing that they keep the drinks from getting watered down. I'm excited for fall fashion. There are just so many options to choose from.

  15. My husband loves his Apple watch. He likes the activity tracker the most. The next coolest thing is that text messages and phone calls show up on it... No digging through your purse! I think talking to your wrist on the phone is silly, but he feels like he's living a little boy's dream a la Star Trek. The text message thing is nice though! It could be nice for you in court.
