One. I'm Running (jogging/walking/crawling) a 5k
I mentioned earlier that I was using the Couch to 5k App to train (ha!) for an upcoming 5k. Well, folks it is here. I'm only through week 4 of the 8 week program so it is going to be a struggle. I highly recommend the app though because it is a great way to slowly build yourself up to getting comfortable running. The 5k is called Colors of Courage and I'll be wearing purple to advocate for pancreatic cancer and in memory of my aunt. We have a group of 8 participating so it will be fun if nothing else!
Two. Beauty Swap
A few months ago I signed up to participate in a Beauty Swap. Basically, we were paired with other bloggers, corresponded back and forth about our beauty preferences, and sent each other a little beauty care package. I swapped with Ashley from Keeping up with Ashley and Cody. It was fun to get to know her and her beauty product style. She was kind enough to send me some great swag.
I love trying out new products and I'm especially pumped for this BB creme. Has anyone tried these products?
Three. Beauty Hits and Misses
Speaking of new beauty products...here are a few that I've bought lately. I had such high hopes for the Living Proof blowout spray but it has not wowed me at all. Maybe it makes my hair a bit smoother but it's nothing to write home about. Thankfully, I just bought the small bottle.
BUT the other two products are some of my new favorites. I am an aspiring lipstick girl. I so badly want to pull off the perfect rich colorful lip but I always end up looking like a fool. The Ulta girl suggested I try the Urban Decay Ultimate Ozone Lip Primer Pencil and I'm so glad I did!
It's a translucent pencil that will match any color and reduce bleeding. I think it's a perfect product for low maintenance lip wear and if you're a newbie like me. My Ulta girl also pointed me in the direction of Two Faced Better than Sex Mascara and dare I say it may live up to its name :)
Four. Reading Machine
Lately, I have been reading nonstop. I think I'm finally starting to realize that I need a break from screen time after work. Even if I am reading my Kindle some it's a nice distraction from TV or a computer screen. If you follow me on Instagram you saw that I picked up some new books last weekend at Half Priced Books. I love going in there and browsing and it's a nice place to get rid of your old books. Have you all read any of these? (yep, those are schnauzer bookends)
Five. The Affair
Per Alanna's suggestion a few weeks ago I had to start watching The Affair. I purchased the first and only season on Amazon and was hooked from the start. I've been limiting myself to one episode at a time to keep it going. It's so good! However, now that it's over I'm left with so many questions. If you've seen it I'd love to discuss. Please fill me in on your theories!
Have a great weekend friends!
